defender 130 td5 2002 front diff (rover type) pinion preload
Hi,
I have a qq on the preload required on the rover diff.
I have the one with the screw (not nut) to hold the flange to the pinion.
in the defender manuals they represent only the ones with the nuts and it says that the preload with new bearings should be 3nm.
I then checked the discovery II manual which shows the rover diff with the Screw and it says the pinion pre-load with new bearings should be 4-6nm.
With the stories I have read about the quality of the manuals I am in doubt now as the values are from simple (3nm) to double (6nm)

anyone got the correct values to use for my type of diff?
