LR Build Quality Strikes Again
Went to a dealer today to do a deal on the 110UW I'm looking for. Dealer showed me a new on in the car park as he was interested in flogging the lowered rear step bumper thing extolling the virtues of it and saying its a dealer fit we did this one yesterday.

Fitted for less than 24 hours and the bolts they uses were already rusty. Now not just small rust. At least 50% of the surface was rusted.

Jeez! Glad I'm not the owner of that I would not be happy!

This is not uncommon. I think that most people using the fittings provided with the kit have had the same problem. We discussed it a while back here:

Steps are fine but the two middle bolts are not much cop. Mine was dealer fitted when new and like yours the middle two fixings were showing rust within 24 hours. I cleaned it off and coated them with Back to Black trim cleaner which worked fine.

If I'd kept the step I'd have swapped them out. John
