I tried dd clutching this morning on the way to work but still wouldn't get 4th going down the gears. I can live with it for now and have done for the last few months. If it lasts until I need a new clutch I'll look into getting it rebuilt or put a refurbished one in.
I was already toying with the idea of an R380 from an old discovery for the different gear ratio's. But that comes with its own pros and cons so a bit more research on that I think.
