Is it still VAT registered? (i.e. can the vat be reclaimed)

I've just sold my 2016 110 SW with 47k miles on and it ended up going to WeBuyAnyCar. I had a lot of interest but few people with £38k burning a hole in their pocket.

I guess it depends on how much you're wanting to get rid... as. guide, I got £32,505 from WBAC which was the same as I was offered through the Motorway app...

All that said, I wish you good luck with the sale Thumbs Up, it was a very sad day when when I drove away and left her behind Sad

Recently sold my 110 XS USW. Same age and miles (not 1 owner) but with a better spec and took a while to get £31,500.

Another thing to factor in is that a lot of the USWs out there are still VAT registered. This makes them attractive to business buyers as they can put them through the books and reclaim the VAT (so £38k is only really £31666+Vat to them).

I saw K.M.'s 2016 110 XS Station Wagon with 47k miles went through BCA today but only got £32,700 plus fees. So not much profit for WBAC/BCA but then it is a churn business, so they do alright.

Ooo, I did wonder how much she would have gone under the hammer for, so thanks for the update! I actually looked on AutoTrader this afternoon and have seen she is now listed for £39,995. Genuinely a great truck if anyone is looking and needs to go through a dealer for finance etc but interesting to see what money they're changing hands for in the trade too...

Out of curiosity I am just going to post to any membersto please get in touch if anyone is interested at all.

Obviously the price is not fixed and open to discussions before it gets listed for sale on some other selling platforms.

Cheers.
