Because the 2 litre petrol is also fitted with the PHEV setup, it is considered a "green" vehicle and road tax is €150. A diesel 3.0 litre with 8 seats will cost €2,400 to tax per year.
The diesel will cost you €146,815 https://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/land-rove...ney=Search 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

No way.
And here l was whinging about the £500 road tax on our old Defender. First year road tax on some versions of the new one in the U.K. is around £2,200 but after that it's £570. Fortunately mine is the Commercial version so there's no initial payment and it's £330 per year |

Here the rates of tax for cars registered after July 1, 2008 is based on the emissions of the engine.
Before that date, cars pay tax based on the size of the engine. My road tax for the Defender is €1080 per year. The tax on a Defender purchased after July 2008 would have been €2400 because it was emissions based. When Land Rover got the old Defender classified as N1 it continued to be taxed on cc or engines size so I bought a 2.4 Puma and could tax it for €1080. The new Defender is not classed as N1 so the road tax will be €2400. The INEOS GRENADIER will be the same. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

Could be. I think the one with the middle seats slightly forward, and the crew cab would be N1. If so I could buy one and hopefully tax it for €1080 per year. Anyone with a business could tax N1 for €330 per year. Before I pulled the trigger on one of these I'd double and probably triple check! 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

70 Series is cool. Although rather flawed and needs many mods to truly bring them to a capable level. They are slow, don’t flex much have inset rear wheels, leaf suspension etc etc. They are sold in markets where the Grenadier is being sold. So are a viable rival/alternative. |

Some may find this of interest.
I sat in on an online BCA auction yesterday and came across a 2023 diesel Field master in gun metal grey with 2500 miles on the he clock. The hammer price was £47500…. I almost asked the chap who’s account it was to place a cheeky bid for me Jim Last edited by jim4244 on 14th Mar 2024 10:50am. Edited 1 time in total |

That’s a scary loss considering they’re £76k starting…
They’re a fantastic car at 2nd hand values. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |

My local dealer has what looks to be a pre-reg Fieldmaster at £57,950 - they say £13k off list! Rob

You've got to wonder if anyone is paying list. Merc EQE 400 has a list of £75k+ but I know two people who have them with delivery miles and paid £45k.

So what's happening with the Grenadier then, who has actioned their 2,500 mile 2023 Fieldmaster at £47,000?
Surely not an owner? Also l assume they paid the lower list price of £55,000 before the price increases. So £47,000 isn't such a big loss. |

Sadly while DVLA see it as Commercial, HMRC don't. So while you pay Commercial road tax you can't put it through your limited company or claim the VAT back. |
