That’s pretty good. Back in October when I was shopping around, there was a big variation but 4 to 4.5% was the typical discount on offer. Then I had a call from a dealer I’d spoken to previously to say would you place an order if we offered you 10%? I said yes. Maybe it was a case of being in the right place at the right time. Every percentage is worth £600-700 on average so worth fighting for.

Yes the market is now better for buyers, as there are a lot of used Defenders coming out of the 3/4 year PCP agreements.
Also the waiting list for a new one has come down, apart from the Commercial version anyway which is still 9-12 months. And (according to my local dealer) there have been quite a lot of cancelled orders from people who were hoping to buy the vehicle then flip it for a profit. |

The 6 dealerships who quoted me all gave a lead time of 3 to 6 months

My Cousin went to order a new 110 the replace his 2 year old Defender90.
Two dealers would not even give p/ex values for his car. Both said similar " Your car does not fit our current stock profile" Dealer speak for we have too many used Defenders? He moved on to a BMW Dealer and ordered an X5. He lost £14k on his 14000 mile Defender but just wanted out of JLR. Ironically both dealers were Sytner owned and his car subsequently appeared where they refused to value it

My dealer is the opposite, they are looking for good used stock.
I got the £2k finance contribution, another £2.5k loyalty discount. Hopefully pick it up end of the month, just waiting on it making the journey from Nitra. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

I think the Finance makes the difference..

At the end of February l requested a quote for a new 110 Commercial with my 90 Commercial in part exchange from my local Sytner JLR dealer.
The salesman said he'd come back to me with some figures. lt was the same guy who sold me my 90 Commercial so he knew l wasn't a time waster. l've never heard anything since. l assume that's because they don't want my trade in. However a local specialist has offered a good price for the 90 Commercial and Motorway are at £46,500 so maybe it's just Sytner who don't want any more stock at the moment. |

Ordered my XS d250 in nov.
Managed 1.5% then But since they have put a £2000 deposit contribution on so will renegotiate if it ever gets to be built. |

Carwow returns a discount of 6% on a 110 HSE Dynamic...
as long as you take a PCP. Try and pay cash and the discount is halved Cllemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....
