DIY rear door table

I know you can buy fold down rear door tables but they all require hole drilling; I don't want additional holes in my Defender. I used 12mm ply for the table and 18mm ply for the brackets. A bit of foam strip along the rear edge stops the table slipping. Rather than folding it up when on the move, just undo the thumb screws, remove it and stow it away. Should be just the job for a quick picnic coffee stop.

Do you have a similiarly neat idea for an outside table? Whistle
My wife wants one to cook on but I'm reluctant to drill holes in the sides only to find out she's not using it after all Laughing Rear door isn't practical for our setup, unfortunately.

you could drill a circular hole in the wood. Then 4 holes at North South East West. Tie some string thru the compass holes in a u-shape, knot the ends.

When we make camp we have a regular aluminium folding camp table that we use for cooking etc. It was just a cheapo from Amazon; it's still going strong.
