Hi all -
Has anyone fitted the Safari Equip 56 lter water tank to the left hand side of their vehicle ? I have found some info on the fuel tanks but not for the water ones ... if so - how easy was it? do I need any special tools or skills ? Will it go on with XS side step/rock/tree sliders fitted ? any tips and photos appreciated https://www.safari-equip.co.uk/shop/land-r...ater-tank/ Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

Reviving an old thread.
We received the same Safari-Equip 56 litre underslung water tank today but no instructions came with it. If anyone has a copy of the instructions or photos / guidance on the installation, it would be greatly appreciated. I will give Safari-Equip a ring tomorrow to see if they have a copy, but reading through other threads, I’m not holding my breath 😊 |

I'll take some photos of my tank fitted and try and remember exactly what I did to fit it !
it cant have beed too difficult as I have limited skills in that area ! I has some help from a fellow forum member who had filed the same tank but had some modifications - (many thanks to TimCat for his help and guidance ... ) Subject: Sill tank. Message: Right then….Safari Equipment! Fabrication is brilliant, brackets are weak & everything else they supply is of the cheapest quality. We have the same tank as the one you’ve ordered & the 110L main rear plus loads more of their stuff. We use our sill tank for fuel & had it twin skinned for strength. If yours is the SW you’ll have to cut the plastic under floor protection plate so the tank can sit as high up as possible. Front brackets are easy enough & work well but the rear only has one bolt hole so I had another made so it can be bolted with two. The centre mount was 30mm too high & I also had this re-made.See photos, easiest was to do it was with a trolly jack.Any Questions just ask. My tank was a more simple fit and only required the holes in one of the mounts to be extended to fit to the chassis and no other modifications ... its been in use since 2021 and has no issues with the mounting (touch wood!)
