I had two rear Britpart shocks break on my 110 and replaced with KYB (Japanese) which have proved to be very good.

If your are short of cash... They are easy enough to change if they were they to fail. Probably will be just fine for years and years. There is always the possibility that what you buy is from the same factory of something OEM

To be honest, I would avoid Britpart wherever you can. Last time I fell in again and bought an ignition switch in december that didn't spring back after 10 starts and I had to switch off the starter manually!

To me, Britpart is what you might call the "supplier of last resort".

I only buy Britpart if (a) absolutely nothing else is available or (b) someone has kidnapped my family! Laughing

I would say genuine are the best, even a bit overkilling for on road use. Puma 110" SW

2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black

In Britpart’s defence, I fitted their Cellular Dynamic dampers to an older 90 of mine as it was the only items I could obtain in the timeframe I had to do it, intending to swap them out for another brand shortly after; I was actually very impressed with them, they have been fitted for seven years now with no issues and seem very good, perhaps a little harsh over rough ground but for road use they were excellent. Even the paint finish has held up really well.

I fitted Fox 2.0 to my Puma 90 which was parked up outside and unused last summer, one of the damper rods has serious corrosion already having done zero miles and Fox will not warranty them as although they have only been fitted nine months, I purchased them 18 months ago. On the plus side they are rebuildable so it is on it’s way to have a new damper rod fitted at my expense.

If on a budget, Girling ones seem good at around £30 each, although I don’t have any long term experience of them.

The budget Britpart dampers with the plastic shrouds and foil wreath decals are utter junk however.

I bought a set for my rebuilt 110. After about 7k miles they had to be replaced, due to no oil. I know they're cheap but that's ridiculous! Absolutely rubbish.
