Someone will always 'chip in' with their opinion. If someone has something to sell a buyer will pay what he deems they are worth. If nobody is interested the seller will obviously realise and (hopefully) drop the price accordingly.
It 'appears' on here that anyone with anything to sell means it's open season for a few hardcore members to berate and criticise either the product and/or price.
Surely the 'gentlemanly' and respectful thing to do would be to take it out of the public forum and advise by 'pm.'
