Went out for a drive, nothing broke or fell off... But did have to remedy a crank no start situation before setting off 😉

Yesterday, rather than today I delivered one of my series 1 88” to its new owner.
It doesn’t need much work but it was one of those projects I was never going to get round to.🙁 It has left a large space in the workshop though…….. Click image to enlarge |

Got the prop sliders, UJ’s and a few other bits and pieces greased.
How nice it is to just have a bit of a break for now from rain showers. For now… ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

Below is the slow change of my 62plate 110 puma to something a little more impractical. Have yet to varnish the rear deck but built of Scottish Oak (it is as close as I could get to Solihull for sourcing) and black deck caulk. When I started this I had never seen one but now people are selling the decks on ebay! I am obviously a frustrated yacht build, might be cheaper in the long run just to buy one!

Click image to enlarge sandblasted and painted the front bumper. Just have to wait until the paint is dry enough to mount it. Might take some more days though... Click image to enlarge The end caps also got a good clean and being EPDM a glycerin treatment. |

I've received a visit from the Prince of Darkness and lost both headlights.
Should have seen it coming as one headlight went out about two weeks ago, then was working the following day, but the loss of both and finding all the fuses ok make me think the headlight switch has given in. Part ordered, and job for the weekend 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Need to fit the encaps as soon as I have new bolts and stuff. Next is the rear cross member, all the plastic bits and pieces and so on... yeah, just my way of procrastinating and not dealing with the obvious problems like replacing front and rear diffs and other essentials. At least the car looks good when towed.

Came across a cheap and cheerful single din stereo with apple CarPlay and android auto, through the other forums. Ideal for those with a TD5 dashboard. But it does protrude from the dash another 10(ish)mm... Eww.
Printed this out and finally got one I was happy with so hopefully I'll up the density and quality for the final one. Maybe change a few radii for chamfers also as the printer will be much happier producing those. You will find that once cleaned with a diluted All purpose cleaner , such as meguiars APC, the rubber endcaps can be coated with carplan black trim wax and with a slight buff they come up like new. This lasts many ,many, months before a new coating is needed again. It works really well on soft A bars as well. |

After 3 years off the road for many a reason, it's time to get Big Red road-worthy again. Bought a new battery this week and she started immediately.
She'll be going in for a MOT this week so fingers crossed. Today will be spent sorting a few electrical bits out and giving her a clean... |
