France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Corris Grey
"The Ford Ranger is the country’s best-selling example, with 18,679 registrations for a 45.5% market share in 2023."

They've probably cottoned on to the fact that vehicles such as a Ford Ranger are now as much a lifestyle vehicle as a work vehicle. Probably in certain models, far more so. I wonder how many of those 19k registered Rangers ever see the inside of a building site, access a forestry track or drive across the owner's own farmland?

I bet, like most 4x4s (New Def a case in point), they'll stay firmly glued to the tarmac, will drive between home/shops/school/gym, and will get dirty if the owner lobs some grass cuttings in the back, and muddy if the owner parks in a National Trust car park before going for a bike ride.

So HM Treasury is missing out on an absolute bundle of cash. Sure that Ford and the other giant DCPU makers will be able to absorb some of that 20%. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Whilst a lot of these are just used as a tax dodge, some (e.g. farmers) do use them as intended. This'll be a big hit for them presumably. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Interesting. But probably not really an issue for the Quartermaster as clearly it is designed to compete with the Gladiator in the N. American market and other overseas markets.
