2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
90 - has new radiator, thermostat, antifreeze, transfer box oil seal, new gearbox oil

110 - is having new entreq fuel cooler guard (thanks Brendan/Leeds - great deal Thumbs Up ) and rear mudflap reinforcement brackets on Saturday

** ENTREQ Mudflap reinforcement brackets are sold individually - so you need 2 sets for the rear **

Installation of fuel cooler guard to be published on the forum

Took a trailer to Ireland and back this week, worked out an eye-watering 9.6 mpg. Glad I wasn't paying for the diesel.

Rear seats have started making an annoying rattle all the time, being looked at soon when the 110 goes back in for warranty work, along with a few other small issues.

I went in convoy with the two Disco 3s. Have to say they probably make better tow cars, but the MPG was also horriffic.

Shocked Was the trailer full of bowling balls? I got 24mpg towing a similar size trailer and with 7 people in the car. Ouch.

Today (well last night at about 1am) the Defender came to the rescue as a lighting rig, sitting in a 10" deep puddle providing light so we could try and shovel all the debris out of a blocked culvert across the road. +1 for keeping a shovel and wellies in the back of the car.

Not bowling balls, but it was very heavy...certainly 3500KG. The chap in the lead disco insisted on doing 60 all the way, so the Defender was struggling to keep up. It was the kind of thing I would have towed at 45mph, notwithstanding tacho regs, convoy driving etc... 2011 110 USW

Took the kids to our local National Trust house - the 110 feels rather at home there!

Then took it to the dealers again for a blown vent blower resistor. Should hopefully get sorted in a week. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Towed my new boat home today at 40 mph for 80 miles as one of the 4 hubs was scolding hot Shocked Despite thumping the hub with a hammer to loosen a possible jammed on break something was still boiling the bearings so limped home slowly and was relieved to get back... Will strip it down and see what mess lies inside!

Very pleased with the boat but she needs quite a bit of work to get her back up to scratch....

Had to do a fair bit to ours this year and it's now out of the water for the Winter.

Sorted a drive issue (fairly extensive work needed), tidied up the trailer, had a cover custom made (ours is VERY hard to cover as it's an open design like a Boston Whaler) then gave it the full PW/polishing works when it came out. Looking fairly tidy now. Won't last long... Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.
