Hi Guys,
I've not tried yet but do the carpets come out of the load space area easy enough? Picked up the truck yesterday and have not had time to play with it yet. Reason for question is I work as a dog handler with 3 dogs who will trash the carpet so would rather take it out before it is ruined and more to the point smells!!! And how on earth do I put pictures on here? Help please... Many thanks, Glenn A dog never lies about it's feelings |

Hi Glenn,
If it's anything like TD5 versions, it'll be held in with double-sided tape. Not difficult to remove but leaves a sticky mess behind that you'd probably want to clean off. There's a thread around somewhere with more detailed instructions but essentially, you need to have the pictuce hosted somewhere, or in a gallery on here. Then you link to it by surrounding the link with the [img][/img] tags. And sometimes it is cheaper to get an XS than up-spec a base model (assuming you can spec all the bits you want). John

Yup, I lifted mine to put the noisekiller under.
The wheelarch sections are held on with double sided tape. All that holds the bottom section is the mountings for the (2nd row) rear seats, and the strip under the back door... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I've yet to do the back yet as well on my XS Utility. I have 3 working labs so after a shoot day the carpet gets a bit damp. Ive got some stable matting that I used in my TD5 so will trim that up and use, acts as soundproofing too.
I looked at the base model to spec upi and it worked out a tadge cheaper but missing out on aircon and MT's so in all the XS was a better buy IMHO, and with the rubbers mats you can whip them out hose them down. Carpet goes back in when I go anywhere posh( defined as somewhere I dont have a 511 whistle around my neck and a pair of wellies on |

I have a similar situation Stanley, 3 HPR's to go in the back of mine.
We get our new 110 USW on Monday and I have been debating - do I buy one of those fitted rubber mats that cover the whole of the rear area or do I take carpet out and try my own mat. Or do I get rid of carpet and have checker metal plating put in rear. All ideas/views welcome??? |

wombat8- i got the emoor trim rear accoustic matting set which is rubber coated and it was a real pain to fit to the puma; lots of trimming required and lots of double sided tape that still doesnt hold the mat on the tub sides. i'm sure it fits the td5 rear tub perfectly but i am currently watching the entreq website as they are due to release something in january.
