England 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Zermatt Silver
N815 Near Field Sensing Module wired update
I’ve just collected my MY22 Defender from the dealership having had them effect this ‘recall’ all day.

Having got home and checked I see my last software update was Feb 23!?

Am I wrong to have expected the software updates that have not occurred during the past year because of the failure of the SOTA functionality to have been done today?

I too have had the N815 recall.

BUT ........ decided NOT to have it done !!

Why is the SOTA module being changed ? I have received up dates on a regular basis, currently at V 4.1 (IIRC)

Are LR changing these modules to stop 'free' OTA updates on vehicles of a certain age (out of warranty)
am I being silly here ?

I've had a letter re. this (and it shows up on TOPIX). JLR say its an upgrade (not a recall) to the NFSM which controls parking/wade sensors. Reason: because early modules can't have their software upgraded OTA, this wired upgrade will allow future updates OTA. Separate to PiviPro SOTA updates. Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S

I was wondering about this as I got the letter for my 2020 Defender on this N815 thing.

For those of you who have had it done - in the cameras, does it add the "red line" for backing up, so you know how far you can go and still open the door? Just curious. Mine has no such line.

I have yet to book mine in (currently can't afford to spend a day drinking JLR coffee Laughing ). I currently don't have the red line thing, so I'm curious as well. Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S

Just picked mine up today from having the recall/upgrade completed. Noticed on the drive home some strange behavior with Apple CarPlay. Whenever I touched the CarPlay icon, it would go to the Smart Devices connection screen wanting me to connect my phone, which was already connected. I’m going to see if I can replicate the behavior later today. If so, I’ll forget and re-connect my phone to see if it resolves the problem. 2020 Defender 110 P400 HSE Santorini Black/Ebony
