I bought some sheet Velcro off eBay and got the missus to staple it on when she did the lid upholstery, and then after a little bit of research bought the Velcro-on tool holders from Amazon. My idea is that I can change or add to them if I want.

Replaced upper and lower shock rear absorber bushes with new ones as the MOT man advised they had play. Hopefully new ones will do the trick. 1999 Defender TD5 110

no as I have no cheap way of doing it. In addition it'll be a continuous process and I need the car in working condition. Thus can't just dismount all the parts and send them away for 2 weeks.

Nice. Perhaps a small diy zinc plating before painting. Its remarkably cheap to do (lots of information online using epsom salt and vinegar) and quite fast to plate, and still gives a very good protection layer before painting. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
