Stainless Exhausts
I am looking at getting a new exhaust for the 110. One of the hangers has dissolved and the others are not much better. Unfortunately, the flanges look like I would open a can of worms if I weld new hangers on disturbing it.

Anyway, I like an upgrade, with a cat shell, have a bypass pipe on now. I tried to buy a stainless system off Allisport, last November, but they are out of stock for the foreseeable. (Had a fuel tank off them for for my series and and it is nicely made, would use them again)

Having a look on the internet this morning, I came across Demand exhausts. I noticed they do a 3 inch exhaust. Has anyone any experience of going from 2 1/2 to 3 inch diameter. I was thinking about straight through and just having the small back box.

Would it make the 110 stupidly noisy, and would it make it breath any better?

Running a standard 110 exhaust with de cat on and an egr blanked.

Your thoughts welcomed

Kevin.

Worth giving Demand engineering a call, they are very helpful and make high quality exhausts. They will advise on sound. Lots on here have used them , just do a search.

I’m guessing you have a 2.4, so with their 3 inch Cat shell downpipe I would have thought the 3 inch mid sports silencer and the 3 inch rear pipe without silencer would give the best sound and performance without being far too loud.

Given the removal of the cat, the big standard mid box and the small rear end box the new 3 inch system will expel exhaust gasses far more efficiently.

I've got the 2.2l tdci with a demand 3"
The front pipe has the shell and after speaking to demand went for the sports silincer and straight through tail..
Really pleased.. Certainly not loud..
Another huge benefit for me is been able to get the front pipe on and off without having to disturb the engine every time as the can gives a bit more room.. Unlike the dpf which was a pain to get off and on 😩

I think the allisport one is Demand, it certainly has the demand tags on the picture on the allisport site?

I had contacted Allisport for the 2.2 downpipe some 4 months ago, they put me down on the list, with an estimated availability of 6wks then. But had no reply 🥺 to be honest I had not followed it up either. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Mines 3” rear as well, sounds just right. I don’t have any silencer or boxes at all.

I don't know how they stay in business to be honest I've been waiting since June last year for a radiator!

The workmanship of Demand is extremely admirable, there are other businesses out there that can’t even be bothered to reply.

The quality of materials used is also a factor and the fact that Demand specifically go out of their way to ensure high quality materials, a perfect fit and make sure quality is highest quality available is what I look for as do most of us on here.
Ensuring the hangars are stainless also is a must also, and the customer choice is excellent as well.

Demand gets my vote. Thumbs Up

Demand all the way for me. Mine is 3 inch. ‘Sports’ cat and small back box.

Sounds epic. Fantastic manufacturing and fitted superbly. 2011 130 Utility Body

Another vote for Demand here!

Dan has done me a custom exhaust in 3” for my Td5 90 and another in 2.5” for my V8 110. I’ve used his “off the shelf” centre section on the 2.2 Puma. Charlie
