In the first pic you can see the metal flush to top of rails (and the notches are fit snug in the limit guides) yet in picture 3 you can see the plastic surround doesn’t flush up to the bodywork of the car / rails? Almost as if the metal is too long for the plastic?

wondering if anyone else with roof bars can post a pic of where their cross bars connect to the rails to see if any gap?
