Does this look right?

Does this look right to you? It’s a pair of roof cross bars purchased from project rebel. They look to me to be too high and not flush to the rails?

But on inspection, I can’t see a way that it could be fit lower as the metal bracket in the middle is flush to the top of the rails..?

In the first pic you can see the metal flush to top of rails (and the notches are fit snug in the limit guides) yet in picture 3 you can see the plastic surround doesn’t flush up to the bodywork of the car / rails? Almost as if the metal is too long for the plastic?

wondering if anyone else with roof bars can post a pic of where their cross bars connect to the rails to see if any gap?
