I'm not sure about mainland, but I know from islands that about from June - Sept - ish, it can be quite sufferably hot when not cafe hopping during the day time - but that will be dependent on your tolerance levels I suppose. The shoulder months either side of the Summer normally yields very nice warm-hot temperatures, but just without the incessant heat.
My experience was boat based - not much shade.. The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/@YetitheDefender Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/yetithedefender/ |

I've done the Pyrenees before and Morocco twice. We will go back to Pyrennees. Both were great trips. I fancy Portugal too. Just thought Greece might be something a bit different. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

We would have to go in those peak months, as restricted to school holidays. I have camped in Spain when it was 40C plus and it wasn't too much of a problem. Just needed plenty of shade. We didn't have a child then though. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |
