1.2 transfer box - replacement gasket set
I've managed to source a 1.2 disco 2 transfer box for my 90 and decided to purchase the gasket set thinking that it makes sense to renew / replace before its fitted.. not it seems the box has sealed with mastic or similar and not the paper gaskets that come in the new kit so got me wondering if people have don't this job and bothered with the paper gaskets or just done the usual o rings / seals as such?

All LT230 boxes in recent years were assembled with Hylosil and not paper gaskets, as is made clear in the overhaul manuals.

Paper gaskets are yesterday's tech!

Thanks I did wonder, need to find me an overhaul manual it seems!! Laughing just makes sense to do what I can while it's out

I wouldnt waste my time with the cheap seals in that kit
