Easy fix to stop your handles seizing in the cold
Hello


I generally park my car under a car port at the side of the house so in cold weather its sheltered. However the wind must pass through and in particularly cold weather the handles freeze shut.


So this is a quick / cheap / easy fix.

I've cut up a few more and put them on the other cars in the drive Smile

Given them a good spray in the barrel with Abus lock lubricant. That used to keep mine from freezing up as it coats the internal with a dry silicone lubricant.

Love a simple idea Thumbs Up

I confess to be fond of a good squirt of silicone spray around the push button and smeared onto the rubber door seals. Works a treat when icy conditions are forecast.

Or just move to the south of Spain. Never had one freeze up down here Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details
