Personally I think it looks great, besides it was done to maximise storage and to do a job, not look cool. They are travelling the world, not posing on instagram.

Defo built to do a specific task. I would love to know the difference in weight between the two setups.

Well, however they fund it they are doing something many on here dream about, so fair play to them.

Personally I think its a cracking high quality build and they've utilised to the max the flexility that the Defender and 130 platform gives them. Thumbs Up Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

I totally agree, if you can get paid for doing it as well even better (I'm not sure 130k youtube would pay for it but I expect they get some sponsorship on the back of it.

I drove from Cape Town to the North Cape of Norway a few years back in my Camel 110 (in the days before youtube), a bit of video based cash generation on the way up would have been nice Laughing

It doesn't look the nicest 130 but i must say it was probably not done for looks. It is one incredibally well thought out and planned 130 - i have done a EU trip in a well equiped disco 3 and done other journeys in a hilux/defender but to have something like this would transform travelling and the ability to live well out of a vehicle. Defender 130 HCPU TD5

Whilst travelling the world. Big difference between the numerous builds that will never set foot off road or go further than the local Sainsbury’s just built to look cool and people who have been travelling the world for 6 years and post about it on social media. Not sure what you found so hilariously funny but we can all use that emoji Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 🙄🙄

I believe Leigh works in the offshore oil industry, he has been away a few times during the build doing some work to pay for it and their continuing travels.

I would guess that after living out of a Defender for six years, whilst driving it around the world, they’d have a pretty good idea of how they’d want to change it. No doubt it wouldn’t be for everyone and many would do it differently, but I suspect it meets their particular needs and wants. 👍

That's right, he works FIFO on the rigs as a plumber I believe. That's why there is such a big time gap between what they post on IG (current time) and YT (several weeks previous) - its so they can still update regular videos whilst he is away.
