That's bizarre, they're quite difficult to remove and that's with the door open so you can prise the part off from the inside edge (lt won't come off from the outside without breaking)
Unless they changed the design for my 2022. l can't see why anyone would need to steal one either. They don't fall off in normal use. Perhaps they wanted the large A pillar trim, which does fall off, but got disturbed. |

Hi. I had exactly this happened to me. Replaced under warranty by my dealer. Apparently there was a redesign of the A-pillar cover and the lower clip on cover due to them been prone to pinging off. L663 D300 SE MY22.

See a thread below containing part numbers for the redesigned parts. Note that the three parts on each pillar designed to work together. I.e. be careful about mixing matching generations of the parts.
