Seats do go mostly flat. Go to a dealer and try one.
The defender is tiny compared to the space of a D5 (and d4) Mike |

Dissappointing the dealer isn't able to get a demo in to show you!
Try the search facility on here, i'm sure the infor is here somewhere might just take some searching. For example the youtube video on this thread may be useful https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic84052...p;start=15 James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers |

When l bought my 90 Commercial nobody had one l could look at or test drive.
Eventually we were on holiday in the Lake District and a small JLR dealer near Coniston had both 90 and 110 Commercial in the showroom! The 90 they had ordered in for a charity and we're waiting for someone to pay for it. They let us take it out for a drive. This dealer was very helpful and friendly, particularly bearing in mind that they knew we weren't going to order one from them as l already had one on order at my local dealer. You can order the 130 in Outbound config which is a 5 seater but unfortunately it doesn't have rear windows in the load area so it's like the utility station wagon was on the classic Defender.

I'd love to see the 130, D5 and FFRR side by side to compare lengths. James

Hey thanks for the replies I was down Stirling way today I went into LR there, they had the 130 wagon which tbf is the best configuration for me it doesn’t have the lip up (caused by the rear most seats I wagon is 5 seater.
Anyways the depth is more than d4 width same but it loses height on the defender ultimately I think the defender 130 wagon is closest thing I will get to my disco 4 which is now costing a fortune to keep on the road. Photo attached of the wagon for anyone interested. |

I had a look at the Outbound recently. My only concern was parking it. Other than that I thought it was a good configuration and better suited to my needs.
Still not as practical as a D4 though with the split tailgate. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |

i've been searching high and low for a part number on this 'accessory' for the 130. By all accounts it doesn't exist yet. I know for a fact 2024s are being delivered without it. But they're coming supposedly in late availability.
The question is does anyone have any access to internal JLR systems (parts catalogues etc) that can monitor for a part number and post it once it does finally become available? |
