It's worth having a look on ebay and clicking the 'sold' / 'completed' buttons to see what stuff has actually reached in the market.

As welshsurferdude mentioned, mid teens seems to be the going rate for a 2.4 double cab.

I dont think addons do much to the value in real terms. In some cases they will even put people off.

It's a great looking defender, someone must want it, perhaps you just need to advertise to the right crowd.

Have you tried "collecting cars" , it's just the kind of motor that would sell on there.
I've seen lots of defenders , even a few Ineos.
