Yes really frustrating I’d like to spend a few hours with it on a rolling road to identify it. I will find it one day and will let know!

Has anyone got to the bottom of this?
Any source for the resonance been identified (or eliminated) ? My 2015 2.2 90 appears to be doing the same and I would very much like to find out the cause. Any update or info appreciated. TIA. |

Hi, sorry, no have never found the issue, just learned to live with it. I’ve booked it in with Mahker to have a Corvette LT1 fitted with an 8 speed automatic box & upgraded axels so hopefully the vibration will disappear! At least I hope so, will update the thread after the work is completed.

Thankyou for the update. Appreciated.
My car has a deep but brief ‘THRUMM’ resonance at or about 1500 rpm. It tends to be only brief as the engine moves up through the rev band. It appears not to be speed nor gear related but definitely consistently around 1500 rpm. It is much more prevalent when the engine is cold as mentioned in previous posts on this subject. Not sure if it is a problem or just a natural resonance or harmonic. It is a 2015 2.2 with 46k miles. |

Resurrecting this thread - has anyone got any more info ref this resonance? Miy 2012 90 with 52k does exactly this between 1400 - 1500 rpm and in gear. Far more noticeable when cold.

Vibration sorted. New diff and a huge improvement with no vibration and transmission is much tighter with less slack

It was the front diff, and furthermore the front wheel bearings…plus exhaust which was in a poor state.
I have, however, noticed at -3 c this morning a faint vibration when cold, but that disappeared after a few miles |
