Gentlemen of Land Rover thank you so much for allowing this to happen, greatly appreciated. It was a long drive yesterday from deepest darkest Wales, but we got in a little after 2300 and with the box still strapped to the roof of our trusty Freelander 2. The wife is thrilled about the box and stated since it was silver and matches her Freelander that it was hers now Rolling with laughter

It would have been great to have spent more time with you Ade and I am sorry we had to dash. Great to put a face to the username though, quite the 110 beast you have sat on your drive. Any photos of it on your old Defender?

It is quite the box (now affectionately named "the carbuncle") and perfectly suited for our use, which will be swappable storage for both the Phoebe (Freelander 2) and Miffy. Phoebe actually has the easier mounting solution with the Thule roof bars, set of T-bolts and the job is done. Miffy however is a different story, with her Safety Devices shorty 90 rack I want to mount the box in front of it above the sun roof... If it were easy it would be boring, right?!

Unless anyone fancies swapping a 90 rack for a 110 rack Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Glad it all worked out. Thumbs Up

Other than storage, my plan was to fit a diesel heater in it for the roof tent. Anyway, I'm sure it will serve you well.

Now just need to get my wife excited by accessories, but I think I've already lost that one following last weeks delivery from Powerful UK! Laughing Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Just remember the old and trusted mantra: "oh these are just service parts" and "maintenance is key to uninterrupted service" oh and my favourite "Hey I fitted heated seats for you babe"... Rolling Eyes

Very nice. Oh, I am envious of the solid rear panels, that is the direction Miffy will go. Security and insulation for the dogs whilst travelling. They are the reason for the extra storage. Blooming things. I have Land Rovers, she has Collies Rolling Eyes Each to their own...

I knew I should have saved up for a 130... Rolling Eyes

Well, the box is now fitted to the Freelander ready for its first mission this weekend. Some T-bolts for the Thule roof bars and the carbuncle is ready for service. Thumbs Up

Next job is to figure out how best to fit it to the Defender as well.

Thanks again both.
