a 'Manual' operation is to drop the centre (under the rear view mirror) sun shade.

l don't have the centre sun visor
l assume then that the NS door mirror is defective as it doesn't ever turn green where the drivers side one does. EDIT Looks like it was only fitted to the drivers side mirror on some production years Click image to enlarge |

My 2020 First Edition had both passenger and driver door mirrors auto dimming but my 2023 90 HSE only has it on the driver’s side door mirror. Also the 2020 car had the centre sunshade thing which was very useful in low winter Sun but the 2023 car hasn’t got it. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Cost cutting exercise? Someone has gone round the vehicle looking for ways to save money.
l've seen it before with other makes, such as my Ford van and an Alfa Romeo. On the Alfa it was things you'd never notice when on the test drive, such as only one front brake had the wear indicator. And the column stalks no longer lit up at night. On the Ford it was things like no badge on the passenger side and no trim in the load area. |
