Hi everyone,
The Mrs & I are looking at doing a 3-4 week tour of Ireland in April by leisurely driving around the island to see the sights. I've looked online and found a couple of car hire places for Defenders, the one quote was 3000 pounds. Not being familiar with the rates there, is there someone here who can advise on a reputable company and rates? Alternatively, if someone here is not really using their Puma, maybe we can do a private arrangement? Thanks very much  --

Have you tried/asked Folye Land Rover. Think they used to do hire for overlanding.

Yes I did. They are the only ones I knew of that do overland hire.

I had read this post on Friday but i couldn't help however I was driving to Belfast yesterday and for some perverted reason i always look into forecourts
I noticed Bridge Van Commercials in Banbridge NI have 2 Defender 90's in the yard and one is definitely an XS spec. This crowd hire out vehicles. I have seen plenty in the south so doesn't seem to be a problem driving them here. you could give them a call and see +44 28 9268 9000 |
