My Missus has been grumbling about the bench seats in my van, so I popped in to the local dealer to enquire about a new 110 Utility. After a very long wait, he came back to me with the list price of £23900 as his best offer (I unfortunately can't claim back the VAT), but stated that he might be able to get that down a bit if I put down an immediate deposit. So I left.... Wanting to be a little more prepared for my next visit, I'm keen to find out what kind of discount you guys have pushed for and achieved? Thanks Tom |

I get 15% at the end of 2007 here in Chile. But was at the end of the year (December) when the dealer was trying to fulfill the annual goals (25 defender sold). First time when I visit them, they oferred me a 5% discount but I said them that I will not be able to have all the money until march. 3 days later they call me back saying that they can do a 15% discount if we buy it inmediately. I request a loan to the bank and I paid it on dec 24th (as a Christmass present). Finally my 110 SW cost me around £20,000 (no ABS/TC) Cheers Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Have a look at this site it will give you some idea on discounts available.
http://www.broker4cars.co.uk/landrover/land-rover-defender.htm used them when i bought my 08 defender back in december 07 and got a discount of over £2000 but I think in this current economic climate you should be able to get a better deal. |

dealers i believe have 5% to play around with. being with the NFU can get you another 10%.
better deals are probably around but i paid £26.2 for a 110 09MY XS station wagon with utility pack but also including the 2 very rear seats, tow bar, sunroof, met paint. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

We ordered ours just two weeks before Land Rover shut down the online configurator (at the time we were totally ignorant of the end of production ). So, erm, no discount. We were happy they didn't charge extra. Sadly I have no screenshots of the configuration :/

Once the finance director finally got around to approving funds it was August 2015 and the order book was closed. We were living in Swansea at the time and went to have a look around the local Stratstone dealer to make myself even more grumpy.
We got involved in a conversation with the sales guy who told us that although the book was closed, they still had the showroom model and it wasn’t sold! We did the deal there and then, got £5000 off the ticket price for a 110 xs in santorini black with dual finish wheels etc etc. oh and 2 tickets to the factory tour, 2 tickets to burley horse trials and an umbrella! We weren’t allowed to collect it until LR said they could release it, so the dealer had it taped off. When we collected it they presented the wife with a huge bunch of flowers! “a committee is a group of people who individually can do nothing, but as a group decide nothing can be done.†|

very roughly I'd open a VAT registered sole trade company, became a member of the NFU and seem to recall I got circa;
17.5% off for VAT, 10% off for NFU, 5% off dealer discount, £33k became £24k? or something like that (still got ripped off ). |
