Those which have water inside will be sold to a salvage dealer as uneconomic to repair, those which haven't will probably be dried out. In the case of customer vehicles there will be an argument over who pays, and ultimately everyone's insurance will get even more expensive.

Or PI claim......looks like someone didn't provide a correct flood risk assessment for the development / redevelopment. |

Seems to be a ‘Medium risk’ area meaning that it has a chance of flooding of between 1% and 3.3% each year. Might need to revise that now…

We live just outside Chesterfield which was hit bad by the floods, some places flooded really badly with cars submerged and areas that have never flooded flooded. Somethings changing... 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

Sad thing is if it had been the old Defender a couple of days with a heater inside no body would of been any wiser. The carpets are normally moist anyway

I guess the severity of the floods is what's caught them out. A 5% chance of flooding by an inch or two isn't too worrying... but 1% @ 4 foot is a different story! |

Wow that's a lot of Land Rovers totalled. Some may be salvageable if the engines haven't been started.

Don’t you realize that the only reason Y2K wasn’t an issue is that all the hype raised about it motivated people to fix the problem before it occurred?
