Latest purchase...110 Puma XS Station Wagon
Time to say hi!

I'm not new to Defender ownership, having had my TD5 110 CSW since 2012, but I've now purchased a 2014 110 XS.

The TD5 (I'm the 2nd owner and it has covered 120k) is showing its age and I don't have the time or space to do a full restoration which was always my long term plan.

Both have their good and bad points, however as a daily driver the Puma seems so much nicer (except for the gearbox/ratios, that I've not warmed too).

Condition wise, the Puma is great(ish), but after a closer look today there is some evidence of surface rust in the usual place underneath the 2nd row seats.

Plan is to wait for the better weather (spring), and then full underbody steam clean, removal of outer sills, front bumper, door cards etc and then either Bilt Hamber or Dinitrol treatment.

In the meantime, I went all over the cappings, hinges, behind windscreen seal etc with ACF50 to give her half a chance over the next few months.

Love them both Thumbs Up Bow down

I also have a td5 which I've had since new, its got 400k on the clock now and I want to look after her.
I bought a golf gtd as an everyday car and i hate it, great car but boring as....
I'm thinking of trading the golf in for a 2014 defender van

My head says your mad (along with good mates) but the heart says buy it Smile

Black roof, grill and wheel arches, but silver wheels? Did it have the black pack originally? The centre console around the radio will be shiny black if it did.
(Nearly twins except for the wheels)

The previous owner had the roof sprayed black, along with the replacement black arches. If he was happy to spend the money on that then I'm hoping it was cared for also.

It has full dealer history, except during Covid times (which makes sense).

The silver wheels are messing with my OCD, so I'm on the look out for sawtooth ones as and when I see something.
