Hi All,
There’s no water coming out of the rear jet when the button is pressed, I can hear the pump running so there’s another reason.
What I have found from previous threads is the problem could be caused by a faulty no return valve, can anyone advise where it is located? Or if there may be another reason for this problem.

I’ve attached 2 photos showing the supply to the nozzle/jet. I moved the supply tube around to remove a small kink.
You’ll see the black padding lining on the rear of the body, this appears to be stuck down, also the grey
Roof lining appears the be glued.

Any advice would be appreciated, also I will need some basic tooling to do little jobs at home, can you recommend a tool that removes the grey circular clips that secures the front roof section and door card lining?

Mine runs along the passenger side of the roof, minimal headlining disruption needed to check it, as long as you can get the firtree clips out.

The pipe runs up to the roof inside the plastic trim at the front. Worth checking there first as it's only 2 screws.

If you have a leak in the pipe I'd assume there would be a wet patch or water dripping when you push the button.

If it works on the windscreen that would rule out an empty windscreen wash bottle.

I bought a plastic tool for removing trim clips it lasted 30 seconds before breaking, I have a metal mini crowbar type with a nail remover.

Not necessarily, the outlet for the rear washer is at a higher level in the reservoir than the outlet for the windscreen washer so that it stops first when the level is getting low. This can be a useful indication that you need to top up.

I use the rear washer outlet for my headlamp washers and many times the failure of them to squirt has told me that the fluid needs topping up, before the screen washers have actually conked out.

Hi Blackwolf,

I filled up the reservoir up and tried but no joy and whilst attempting this the noise from the motor stopped so presumably it’s in operative?

I think this be a garage job, I assume there are 2 pumps?

Yes there are two pumps and they can be accessed at the front bottom of the washer fluid tank. See parts diagram attached

Just out of interest, have you recently removed the windscreen trim piece {passenger side, RHD) and then replaced it?

The reason for asking is that (no names to protect the guilty here) could you have put the screw through the rear washer pipe?

I never use my rear wash wipe and must have taken three or four years to notice..... Laughing

I found the passenger side trim piece around the moulding for the screw had nicked the hose. Looks like it was done when the Nokia phone charging cradle was installed. I found out when removing it and generally going through a list of faults to rectify.

Hiya, in response to your question about non return valves on my Td5 110 they are located in the region of the heater box before they enter the bulkhead. If I were you I'd have a root around there, try and find the pipes as they run along the NS wing and you should find the valves, it makes sense that LR put them somewhere accessible. My rear non-return valve blocked resulting in an MOT failure a while back, any local motor factor will stock them, just makes ure you install them in the correct orientation!
