I think that with the kit any 90/110 would be exactly the same as the Defender 90/110 that were produced with the 200tdi engine. Engine mounts remained the same until the 300tdi. But I suspect this information is already known to you, but the authorities like to play dumb.
So far I am sticking with my 19J. Its better on the ears, but not so on the wallet 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

‘Road legal’ will depend on the legislation in the country where you live, so it’s not something that a LR document could state one way or the other. All it can do is confirm that it was an official repower conversion offered by the manufacturer.

Yes indeed, that is what they do. And since Defenders were not imported into Switzerland between 90 and 94, plus international documents are only accepted in Switzerland from 96 on, this makes it even more difficult. Are there any other documents available from Land Rover other than the one I mentioned, that could be used in discussions with the authorities when it comes to registering such a Tdi conversion? |
