Would these motors be the same as one from a TDS 12000 winch? 1999 Defender TD5 110

Yup, winch motor is toast. Unfortunately it is a square key-way style motor rather than a splined one. I suspect you only have splined motors Rolling Eyes

Going to need to find me a second hand winch I feel. This one has had a hard and long life.

these motors shown will fit a 12000winch tds yes. i believe all the TDS range had the same size motor it was just the gearing that was changed to give different line pulls and speed. Cheers

Cheers, I think my motor might be on the way out (getting slow on winding in a full drum with no load) going to check wiring at the weekend to make sure I have no duff connections. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Not bad, not the worst I have seen. But the F1 and F2 internal windings have perished. So a bit beyond repair I think.

So, I think I am on the lookout for an entire second hand winch. Goodness there are some dogs on eBay at the moment and for ridiculous prices Shocked

Hi Jeremy, yep, brand new, postage UPS £20, have Bow 1, Bow2 and Bow2+ what are you after?

It’s to go on a Husky so thinking Bow 1 best?

i used to run a bow 1 on a husky, the spline will need a groove cutting into it with a dremel. the superwinch motor i have for sale already has a groove.

I’ll drop you a PM

Hi Jeremy, were you still after one, i see you havent opened my PM reply. James Cheers

Just closing off my bit in this thread. I managed to find a Warn 9.5XP in need of some love. Picked it up, stripped it down, rebuilt it and fitted it just this evening. No empty winch bumper on Miffy.

Just need a replacement hook as the one I have is close to past its best.

Hi James. Yes a good find. The 9.5XP is a good winch. I would have loved a Goodwinch TDS 9.5 but Rolling Eyes

Check the voltage the motor is getting. Earths may just need a clean? Cheers

Earth was a bit dull, now cleaned up. In fact the whole winch is on the bench for clean up. 1999 Defender TD5 110
