Crossmember to body bracket
Sorry if this has been posted before but struggled to find it.
Had to have the crossmember replaced (puma 2.4)and the new one has the tabs to secure it to the tub. The tabs aren’t welded so can be removed, but wondering if anyone has swapped them out for the more puma like bracket that goes the whole way across? Looks like yrm offer a galvanised one (KVU101160)

Will also swap the bolts for a neater stainless set with stainless and nylon washer.

They swap like for like, the one in the picture you’ve posted should actually be fitted with the tabs on the outside, the newer type has captive nuts.

Thanks, that’s good to know. Will add it to the never ending list of jobs
I also thought the tabs would be on the outside (although glad they’re not) but from a search round it looks like they’re being fitted on the inside on pumas and late TD5s. I guess it makes very little difference, but at least I know the paints not damaged during fitting.
