Sure - but it's still crap. There will be people driving hundreds of unnecessary miles to these courses (which are presumably all similar), it's not unresonable to think it could be better organised.

"His choice was points and fine or go in to the primary school he was stoped seeding past and stand infront of the kids and explain why he was speeding,if theres a next time he's taking the points he said it was awful standing in front of a bunch of 5 year old while the gave him the third degree."

I'm sorry but what a load of Censored . I know you welsh don't have the benefit of a decent chief constable but that statement is outrageous.

First, a ticket is not a conviction only a Court can do that, second you have been accused of a victemless crime. The beneficiary of which is the Exchequer.

If I was told the school my kids goto was being used as an extension of the criminal Justice system by a process outside of courts there would be trouble and bigtime. Schools are administered by elected govereners unlike the filth who do what they want - well until we have elected commissioners anyway.

Get a backbone welsh lads already.

I got caught doing 50 in a 40 ...

got no points Thumbs Up but I did get a £525 fine and letters in french

thankfully say I no longer drive in Switzerland.

I got off lightly, a mate was caught doing 50mph in a 30mph and cost him 20% of his household income (yes household, his salary PLUS his wifes Rolling with laughter )

Recently caught doing 57 in a 50 zone .I took the course instead of the points but interestingly the instructor informed us that each police authority has it's own course although a national one is begginging to take shape. The benifit is if you get caught in another force area they may not have a record that you have already attended a course so you could be offered another one instead of a fixed penalty.
