Did anyone go? If so, was it good? As good as Peterborough?
Must be a bit of a kick in the teeth for the staff that lost their jobs at the magazine. |

we were there yesterday the best thing was the weather. i have been going to landrover shows for about 25 years so have been to a few. i cant say too many good things about this one . defender parking was in what looked like a secure area but was nearer to the show than the disabled parking not impressed. the stalls were too spread out even some of the traders were complaining about this. prices seemed to be a bit high one thing i bought i asked about the price and was given a price higher than on the company website when i pointed this out it came down to just under the website price. this is a well known trader.add to that they charged to park i was not impressed with the show.

That’s not so good.
How much did it cost to get in / parking. Did it seem well attended? The video Chris from ORE put on Instagram gave me the impression it was well spaced out. It must be very difficult for traders. They need to pay for the pitch, pay their staff and put them up in a hotel or Air BnB and transport everything. Not so bad if you are a one man band and take family and friends. Not so good if you have a bunch of paid staff. Must be an expensive weekend out to do a show (but that’s not making any excuse for trying to charge more at a show than on the Website!) |

I would be interested to hear what the camping and toilet blocks were like.

Bit of a mare to get on to the club stand’s Friday afternoon at the entrance Marshall’s a bit clueless. Stalls spread out probably as they get less and less each year.
£7 a pint in the Moose Bar 🤬🤬 Bogs get wrecked as usual 🤷🏻♂️ |

If £7 a pint doesn’t make you go tee-total, I don’t know what would?
Ok, expect expensive but that just takes the Anyone would think the show was in London Do you think the people from LRO will attempt another or will this event be a one off? I haven’t done any shows since COVID lockdown. I’m not scared to go, or anything like that, I just wasn’t finding them as good as they used to be. |

It will be interesting to see how the locals react to it. I reckon there will be a few complaints from them looking at the area.
We just go for the crack not bothered about the stalls to be honest. |

Fair comment mick.
It’s difficult putting anything on these days without someone starting a Facebook group and complaining to their MP At £7 a pint, I think if I was camping, I would be having a supermarket trip first. |

well we went and itll be the last time.
fb is full of real reviews and negative comments, they keep pulling em down which says all you need to know. 5 to park!!! 25 to get in. you know its bad when you arrive at 830 today and there are more folk leaving than arriving. the locals are up in arms with the extra traffic and idiots blatting around in popcorn limiter td5 etc. access via a rough farm track so great for spoiler removal on cars. pitch black at night , no lighting gennies. campsite was packed cheek by jowl with folk camping in the road ways. no water stations. we took a stand full of vehicles to the arena as asked. to be told we should have gone a different way , erm were not physic. told to come back 3 hrs later which we did only to be told after more waiting that we should come back later again ( 1 car in the arena) so most of the lads gave up and 4 off the stand finally got in later on. no one bothered going in today. as for trade stands place was packing up by 12-1300 and by 1500 when the rain finally arrived the exodus was in full swing. no security patrols no fire patrols kids whizzing round on e bikes and petrol quads frid pm and sat day. got told to go out same way we came in only to be told that's wrong and go the other way out yes the one without signs (choice 2 routes) to gate with a security guard on who didn't know anything or even open the barrier. couldn't buy anything as traders had no signal for payments. |
