Defender Rental Help/Chauffer???
A friend of mine recently brought a nice 60 plate Black 110.

Unfortunately he had a bit of an accident with it and its currently in the workshop being repaired.

In between buying it and having the accident, he agreed to use it for his best mates wedding as one of the chauffer cars.

He has found out that its not going to be ready in time.

Does anyone know where its possible to rent one for a day or so just to perform the required duties.

I would lend him my 90, but im away in it, and its not ideal with the bench seats etc

The weeding is on the weekend of the 26th November and in the Petersfield Area of Hampshire/Surrey Border.

I havent asked him yet, but if somone local wanted to do some Chauffer duties with a nice Defender, im sure he would pay you.

If anyone can help, please let me know.

Cheers

Is it worth asking a dealer?
A bit of free press to go along with it?

Or you could be sly and ask for a demo for the weekend Mr. Green

SHB 4x4... It will probably have one of their stickers plastered on the door, but we have hired 110s from them before as towing vehicles.

I just cannot believe that as they have over two dozen sitting along the forecourt of their Airdrie depot. New and used for hire. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Scotland isn't much use unfortunately for one days hire on the south coast.

Also he is limited a bit by choice, as it needs to be a 110 SW, ideally with minimal sign writing. Current:D4 HSE

Just to clarify, he tried the local branch which was Southampton. I am assuming they would have searched around if they could offer anything?? Current:D4 HSE

Correct, they are a big group and i can't believe they would turn a sale down in these difficult times? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Thanks for the info. I will tell him to ring some other SHB branches and see if they are any more helpful than the Southampton branch. To be fair, they have been useless. Not ringing back or responding very quickly. Not great of they are struggling for business.

Thanks Killer, I will pass these details on. I did think about Foley for a rental, but guess there trucks are more specially kitted out.

Thanks again for all the help and responses. Current:D4 HSE
