Have a look at MaxxRaxx.

Off topic slightly
New Thule outset hitch tent, looks like they’ve removed the spare wheel, I’d have one but don’t fancy going without a spare. Click image to enlarge 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

Did this extension work out in the end?
tilting the bike rack, re-clicking the rack, loading more than one bike etc...? Any fishtailing? Thanks! |

Hi, newish owner here - got the Thule 3 bike tow bar rack with the adaptor that allows it to clear the spare wheel and become a 2 bike rack. Works perfectly. Needs to be fitted with the rear door open and subsequent door clearance a little more limited when bikes on but other than that all good!

Good to know! Thanks
I also wonder whether the EUFAB11402 quick release mechanism works - ie no fishtailing, stepping on the Thule rack to tilt it, etc. |

Have just sold a Thule Easyfold XT3 and replaced with the Velospace XT3 as the former is of no use with the spare wheel. As mentioned previously the Velospace does require the replacement spare wheel adapter bar (taking capacity down to 2 bikes). Testing the new rack out at the weekend I was nearly caught out by the fact if you tilted the rack (to open the rear door) it was touching the floor and would damage the rear lights. Then realised that this was due to the defender being in Access Mode - something to be aware of.
