Fitting a rear door strut
Just taken delivery of a door strut to fit on the lower door frame.

To fit I was thinking of attaching the strut at the body end and then getting the rear door opened to the point I want the door to stop i.e spare wheel not touching the body work when fully opened and then marking the holes for the rivets.

Or is there another approach? 1999 Defender TD5 110

I confess I did not even think about that. I just fitted it to the standard location and it worked.

Goodness I think I said I would take these photos for you ages ago, or was that someone else?! Rolling Eyes

Cheers for pics. I think I will align the door for being at almost max opening and go from there. 1999 Defender TD5 110
