I like the idea of a customizable button on the wheel, but I have no idea what I would use it for. I'd like to know what some of you are using it for.

The diamond button on the steering wheel is a 'Customisable' function (Driver selected, through the PiVi screen.)

That was one I was thinking about until I set my stop start disable to remember it’s last setting.

So you’re saying the diamond button can’t be set to auto stop start disable?

this lists the only functions under 'Diamond steering wheel' control.

I just sat down in my defender and, while I didn’t find auto stop start, the list is a whole lot longer than what’s in the manual. Mostly in the app launch section. I found a few I might try out.

I’m new to this, so I don’t know when they added app launch.

I also went with cameras for short press. Currently long press is dynamic. I’ll prolly change that, as I don’t see using dynamic much.

I’m surprised they didn’t make that button much more flexible.

Yes you can set it to disable stop/start. l know there's a button to do that next to the shift lever but l find the steering wheel one more convenient.

l also set it to mute the audio.

I use it to switch to 360 camera - I tend to end up in tight spaces a lot driving in the city and find it useful to be able to switch immediately whilst trying to negotiate a tricky spot.

and

Long push = change source between DAB and Spotify. If the radio is crap I frequently move to spotify.
