Wales 2006 Defender 110 Td5 XS DCPU Zambezi Silver
Leaving car with wife!
Ok, I go away to work.

In the space of 2 day my wife.....

1. Locked the petrol cap & couldn't open it. (I don't lock it) she did eventually get it unlocked with help.
2. Took out part of the side picket fence with the rear wheel arch/tyre!
3. Ran out of diesel Rolling with laughter

Oh how I laughed!! Now I'm so glad I didn't get the Disco3 just yet!!!

yes that is unfortunate but if we didn't let the missus drive now and again think of all those poor employees at Mr Clutch who would end up on the dole !

Mrs No Worries hates driving the 90, she won't even collect it from service for me, she would rather take her Rav 4 everytime If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Mrs Monkey is same about the 110... She has NEVER driven it and only been a passenger in it twice in almost one year of ownership. She likened the experience to being in a tractor, only far less refined.

She won't use the pet name of 'Peppa' for the 110, prefering to call it 'That f*cking farm vehicle' instead. She's still narked that I bought a Td5 instead of a Puma and that I chose a Cairns Blue one, which is the same colour as her D3.

Equally, she didn't find it funny that after her first trip in it, I made her wait for a few seconds in the passenger seat whilst I put the 'air suspension into access mode' for her to get out....... Even the kids sussed I was taking the p155.

So..... no danger of her ever driving it and for that I am eternally grateful.

Apart from all that.... married bliss as usual Thumbs Up Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Mrs Boy (Cy) has her own 90 and though battered she loves it. A few months ago I asked if she would prefer a car or something sporty but she said there was nothing else she would rather drive but then added "apart from a SVX 90 soft top". Like that's going to ever happen Rolling Eyes

My wife took her test in a 90 pickup (1997 - whatever engine they had?) and passed.

She was the main influence is us getting one! She's also an absolute demon trailer reverser (used to ride horse a lot and tow boats regularly).

Handy.

LOL at the OP though! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

My life loves driving the defender, she's a little hesitant to drive it offroad in case she damages it.

She loves driving it so much she wants her own 90 with one requirement, there has to be 3 seats in the front row. Russell
