I'm clearing out our old sheds and getting rid of stuff and have come across this:
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge It came from a Scottish Water shed years ago when they were clearing out and was in with a load of other Land-Rover stuff which I got from them. I'm not sure exactly what it is or if it is a Land-Rover part or not? Does anyone recognise what it is? What it's for? It's clearly got a towing pin and doesn't look as though its been used. Lastly, is it of any use to anyone, does anyone want it before it goes in the scrap pile? Thanks Dirty Deeds - Done Dirt Cheap |

That seems like a very reasonable diagnosis. I wasn't sure if it was a tractor part, hadn't considered HGV but Scottish Water did used to have a couple of sheep floats so could be. Dirty Deeds - Done Dirt Cheap

Good point, it could also be off the front of a tractor.
Does it have any makers markings or part numbers stamped on it? I am sure it would cost a bundle if you wanted to buy one! |

Like this (which would explain the shape of the top, to hold front weights). Mystery solved, I think, but what kind of tractor? Click image to enlarge |
