Netherlands 1998 Defender 90 300 Tdi SW Barolo Black
Defender 90 from the Netherlands. "walt"
Hello,

I have been reading a lot of topics here and decided to start one for myself.

I'm Jolt, 27 from the Netherlands.
I have a 98 300TDI 90 station wagon (registered in 99)
It was the cheapest running one with MOT i could find 2 years ago.

Unfortunately i failed the MOT last wednesday, primarily due to rust at the rear of the chassis Big Cry
I'm planning to do a chassis swap with a new galvanized chassis.

But enough talking from me, i know you guys enjoy pictures.

When I picked up walter almost 2 years ago:

Looks tidy.

I did the rear on my 200tdi many moons ago, but then went for the full chassis swap.

it's not tidy at all, it just looks decent from far away Laughing

i thought about doing a rear half swap but I think it will be a full chassis swap.
I think it's gonna be faster and it will never rust again.

Welcome to the forum and introducing Walter Thumbs Up

I to had to make that decision with Millie my 110 and in the end i went for a full chassis swap, better in the long run and i was very glad i did as the top of the chassis you can't see very well was totally gone Shocked

Look forward to seeing the progress you do on Walter Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
