'PM' Landydubai he may even give you as whirl in his 'Raptor' whilst you're out there. Kids could go in the back....What could possibly go wrong? Laughing If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

We stayed at Hilton Jumeriah Beach resort. Decent hotel 4* or there abouts. Had a lovely pool and private beach complex.

Busy area around hotel lots of restaurants and suitable for wandering around in the evening.

Don't forget to take in duty free with you if you like a drink as can't buy anything there.

Can drink in hotel, but evening meals very pricey for family. All local restaurants no booze!!

Lots of things to do including 'dune bashing' in Landcruisers - was a good day out, but a good couple of hours drive each way!!

Weather always fantastic - or was in February, we didn't go that far from pool and beach.

k9f - obvious really - so obvious I didn't think about it myself.....pm on its way to landydubia shortly.

stevie d - thanks for the info. I can manage without the boze for a week so no issues there. when you mention expensive what sort of money are we talking for family of 4 to eat in or eat out (I'm not looking for mega meal or mcDonalds but something inbetween)?

thanks.

As Steve mentioned, you can't really go wrong with Jumeriah Beach especially if you have kids. The water park is close to the hotel, the kids clubs are excellent and the beach is nice. It's a clean friendly holiday resort.

Atlantis is another family orientated hotel but my friend who lives in Dubai always advises Jumeriah over it. I have stayed at more than a few of the hotels there and Jumeriah is my choice with the kids in tow.

Meals are expensive but on par with London prices until you add alcohol. Enjoy your holiday, I out in Feb and can't wait. Nick
