Saturday - I went Christmas shopping in mine. Got about half of it done. Very Happy

Today - it went nowhere as other half has been busy cutting a fuel tank access hole in the tub floor. Have to do some bits to the fuel system when the Td5 and extra fuel tank go in, and after the hassle it was to get the tank in the first time, we don't want to have to drop it again if we don't have to!!

Great Ride, don't have many pics!

It was my first greenlaning with lots and lots, but really lots of mud ! But my 110 behaved fine!

Took the defender to the jet wash to get rid of the weekends playing dirt.

Got the wife to go in with the fez to get the token before I turned up with the dirty defender Thumbs Up

Got some evil looks as we drove way from the guy behind the counter Whistle Russell

Nice one Russ Laughing

I took mine straight to the jet wash on the way home undercover of darkness to get the worse off while it was still damp.

Looked at it today in day light and will need to tidy it up a bit more with the bucket and sponge Rolling Eyes

Great fun - I'll see if i can get some pictures uploaded tomorrow.

When I went to our local Sainsburys the other day I had to nudge one of those trolleys that some freelance car washers use Rolling Eyes to get into a parking slot. The polish boys totally blanked me as I got out, but as went to walk into the store, a BMW driver just walking away was approached and he politely told them no. As I was level with them at the time I asked why I wasn't asked? They then fell into the "Me no speaky Ingleesh"

I don't know why Whistle

Had my 24k service, also had a noise at 1000rpm and when I turned the vehicle off the noise occurred during the over run. Sounded like a pheasant bolting just before I put 32grms up it!!!!

Just as I thought, LR dealership said it was the EGR valves, would be done under warranty. Phoned me to collect it, was amazed they had EGR valves in stock, but they said all done. Picked it up at 6.25pm, drove 70 miles home and that pheasant was back Evil or Very Mad

LR contacted me this morning to ask if cars ok? &@£(£&@)(!!! The Censored did you do yesterday for 8 hrs!?

Checked....... Oops sorry sir, if you could run it back 70 miles round the M25 next week we will put in the EGR we forgot to put in!!! Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad

Used Maidstone Guy Salomon. The did my gear box in the summer, be it miles away compared to lookers Chelmsford, and based on yesterday they now fall in line with lookers. They seam to act like the incompancy is an everyday occurrence and as you pay £150+ an hour I must have plenty of time to cock about next week during my golfing and wine drinking!

Gave up with lookers Chelmsford 18 months ago, they are only interested in ranges and d4's, when I drove in, in my 2010 plate utility, they probably didnt even know LR still made the defender Rolling Eyes they are not the least bit interested and when I did go there this year (under drewress) there excuse for not sorting my warranty issues was because I drove it off road Exclamation

LR GS Stockport sorted the issues 3 weeks later under warranty, because lookers refused to......they did not know why lookers Chelmsford did not sort the issues as they were known defender warranty issues. Shows how much built up area LR dealers know about defenders Confused

TBH might not own a LR next year Neutral 3rd LR, same issues no matter what product or £'s you spend, rather brought 10yr old one then I can accept and understand the issues......

Be going on holiday with Red Dot next Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Joking RD, my 110 would never make to you Thumbs Up

Tack - oh fear, not good!

Shopping trip for ours. Second MacBook Pro bought as we try and rid our office of slow, virus filled MS products. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Thanks Tack! Thumbs Up

It isn't good news that you are dissapointed with any of the Lookers dealers, but just wanted to point out that it didn't relate to the one where I/forum sponsor is located. Wink

I know this isn't the correct part of the forum for this (not sure why I'm still carrying on typing here, but hey-ho).......is it worth my journey from south of Oxford to Lookers P/Royal for my service/warranty work etc? Just so 'flippin' frustrated with Hartwells up here its not funny (see my other postings if you're fussed). You seem to have a good reputation on here James.....

I really need to find somewhere reliable, reasonable (cost & attitude) to take my DC! Before everyone jumps in and says indy, I'd just rather stick with main for the warranty duration (if I can cope that long.....purely to just save any LR comebacks "this hasn't been done/correctly sir, sorry, here's your bill")
