Been in the workshop today, trying out a proof of concept.

Armed with two 13" plastic mud guards and a marine deck hatch, I have (part) built my own version of the spare wheel stowage/cooking area.

I need to build the inner guts and make the hatch door stop horizontal.

The reason it is NOT curricular is two fold, 1. I want it to sit under my spare wheel metal shelf and 2. storage area is width of spare wheel but not lower than spare wheel.

It still needs a bit of work and painting (all Black)

This is the Inios variant. Flap falls down all the way, no restraint to hold level.

..... and a 2" receiver plate on tow bar, with optional 50mm ball. Has to be fitted by factory, then you get internal wiring loom. If fitted after vehicle built, can still fit tow bar ........ but NO wiring ...... WHY ???

I wonder if you could adapt this with the boat hatch / box solution.
