Hello all,
I'm a bit of a lurker but I've come out of the woodwork with a question - my ABS/TC lights are on permanently. I've checked the sensors and harnesses (as well as I could just by looking!) and they seem OK. The ABS is clearly not working (I can lock the brakes up while stopping) so I suspect the ABS modulator. This seems to be similar to the Disco II version but there seems to be less information about the Defender version. Does anyone know if the same fix can be applied to the Defender? This is the Disco II version: www.landroverclubvi.com/abs-mod.html I need to get the code read first, to be sure but I'm preparing myself! This is for a 2003 TD5 Defender 110 Station Wagon. Cheers! |

Thanks RangeHelper, I'll let you know how I get on if this is what I need to do (need to get the codes read forst!)
@Lorryman100 - you shouldn't have deleted your post - I thought it was a great checklist for things to verify before leaping into the more expensive stuff. Is there any chance you could post it again? Thanks, Tony |

Send me your e-mail. I'll post the file to upgrade the ABS . Modernization held me for three cars successfully.

Sorry, I deleted the post as it already had been posted in a similar thread and I didn't see the point in duplicating the post. A quick search reveals: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic8302.html http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic7119.html |
