United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 HT Aintree Green
Headlight/Fog light/horn help
Hi,

I'll be honest, I'm very much a beginner but I'm keen to get a better grasp on mechanics and solve these kinds of issues myself, but I'm at the point now where I feel completely lost.

A few weeks back I was changing my rusty headlamp bezel rings on my 2012 puma defender. I didn't watch a video or think it through properly and ended up unscrewing the headlamp level adjustment screws. I didn't think anything of it and refitted the headlamps, but when I went to try and check the lights were working fine, I discovered I'd broken something and the following is now not working:

Dipped beam (when the light switch is pushed all the way forward)

Full beam (when the indicator switch is pushed all the way forward)

The horn

The rear fog light. The switch doesn't illuminate when pressed and the light stays off.

The headlamp level motor clicks continuously when left in the 1/2/3 positions but when switchted to 0 will whir into a position and clicking stops.

The side lights (light switch in 1st position) are working normal as are the brake and reverse lights and when the indicator stalk is pulled back the headlights both flash as normal.

I checked fuses and changed headlamp bulbs but to no avail, then after going round the houses on forums the indicator switch seemed to be the most common fault. I bought a new one but still no change.

I then started reading that in 2012 land rover added a relay to the headlight system and could see on wiring diagrams that this relay was also linked to the fog lamp.

Cut a long story short I've no idea. I couldn't find a clear answer as to which relay (R123) was, I swapped the top right (in seatbox) with the windscreen wiper one which works, but this had no effect. I did the same with the right hand one under the steering wheel, again no effect.

The indicators which were working fine are now both flashing very fast.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
